Little Gardeners Day

Little Gardeners Day

Get ready for a morning of digging, planting and discovering nature at our Little Gardeners Day! This hands-on event gives children the opportunity to explore the garden and learn more about plants, nature and the environment through playful experiences.

During the activity, children will have the chance to plant their own seedlings, gently water plants, explore different natural materials and discover what plants need to grow. Our educators will guide children through simple gardening activities while encouraging them to observe, ask questions and explore at their own pace.

Gardening provides children with many opportunities for learning. Digging in soil, handling seeds and watering plants can support sensory exploration and fine motor development, while observing plants as they grow can encourage curiosity, patience and responsibility.

Children will also learn about caring for the natural environment and why plants are important to our everyday lives. Rather than focusing on getting everything perfect, the session is about allowing children to experiment, get their hands a little dirty and enjoy spending time outdoors.

Families are encouraged to dress children in comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities and bring a sun hat and water bottle. We look forward to sharing a fun morning of gardening, discovery and learning together.
